We are all workers
Pastor Kenny shared The Word in a powerful message on Sunday. It was from Isaiah 6:1-12... a passage I dearly love where Isaiah says "here I am send me". But I never thought about the rest of the parts of those verses as the keys to mission success. #1 Key - eyes that see the greatness and Glory of our King, just as Isaiah did in v. 1-2 where he sees God sitting on His throne and his robe flowing around Him. That is what makes mission successful not the desire to help the lost. By the time he finished the message I felt like he was directly speaking to me. My heart was going to jump out of my chest and my palms were soaked. I felt the Holy Spirit saying 'it was time'. So as we sang "I Surrender All".. one of my favorite songs, I went forward to publicly say that I accept His will and call for me to go to the mission field in Mali. As I told Brother Bob, who knows anyway, I was tongue tied. He asked me if I wanted to share with the church body. I told him I don't know exactly just that my heart was going to jump out of my chest and I needed to do something. He told, I understand I've felt that before. I had complete peace then as I was able to stand before my brothers and sisters and share with them what I told God several months ago. To Him be all the glory!
